Outreach
I was originally inspired to pursue science because of its representation in popular media, and a few memorable school incursions with visiting scientists. I believe that to foster an interest in STEM, people need role models and visible scientists to inspire them.
I am currently involved in several outreach programs including Skype A Scientist, STEM professionals in schools, Pint of Science, and organising workshops and presentations with local schools.
I am available for outreach opportunities for presentations and Q&A sessions for primary school and high school students, as well as public seminars or panels. Below are a few of the outreach activities and topics that I promote.

COVID-19
What is SARS-CoV2? Where did it come from? What is the difference between COVID vaccines? What are variants?

Being a scientist
What does a day in the life of a science researcher look like? What are some of the challenges that I have faced? What are some tricky problems I have solved using science?

Viral fossils
How do you find viral fossils? What can we learn from them? Do we have any in our DNA? Can we figure out what infected dinosaurs?
